Dr. Snyder was born and raised in Virginia. He attended college at Southern University in Tennessee and Columbia Union College in Maryland. Dr. Snyder has degrees in both Dentistry and Medicine from Loma Linda University in California. His postgraduate training included a surgical internship and a residency specializing in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He served as an officer in the United States Army at Winn Army Hospital, Ft Stewart, Georgia, where he was Chief of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Snyder has extensive experience in medical and dental mission service. He has received several service commendations for his surgical mission trips to Mexico, Guatemala, and Vietnam, where he treated many children with facial deformities.

Dr. Snyder is Board Certified and a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Dental Board of Anesthesia. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Medical Association, and American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

He and his wife have two children, Calvin and Andriana. They feel very blessed to have chosen the Grass Valley area as their home and look forward to serving their community.
